Harvey L. Frels of Allen, Texas passed away on December 24, 2016 at the age of 68. He was born on August 18, 1948 to LeRoy and Leona (Buenger) Frels in El Campo, Texas. Harvey graduated from Texas A&M University in 1971 with a Bachelor’s Degree. He married Katherine Jean Little on May 13, 1972 in Houston, Texas. Harvey worked for Praxair as a system analyst for 45 years. He lived in Houston, Texas until 1991. Harvey then moved to Tracy, California until 1999, when he moved to Allen, Texas. Harvey loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Aggies and Allen Eagles. He also enjoyed playing and watching golf. Harvey enjoyed going out to eat and football games with friends. He lived life to the fullest in all things and touched the lives of everyone he met.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Kathy Frels of Allen; daughters, Nicole Frels and husband, Alan Stowe of Rosharon, Texas, Donna Frels of Allen; granddaughters, Rayne Frels of Plano, Alicia Stowe of Rosharon; grandson, Gabriel Frels-Palmer of Allen; great-grandchildren, Sylar, Jody, Krislynn; sisters, Gloria Nordeen and husband, Johnny of El Campo, Carolyn Tvrdik and husband, A.W. of Austin; brother, Kenny Frels and wife, Marsha of El Campo; and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Joyce Barker.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas.
The family requests donations be made to the Harvey Frels Football Scholarship for Allen Eagles (payable to: Kathy Frels).
