Anton J. Dybala, Jr., of East Bernard, Texas passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born on August 2, 1948, to his parents Anton J. Dybala Sr. and Evelyn (Schilhab) Dybala. Anton was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church and worked as a machinist for E.I.M for 40+ years. His favorite things do were fishing, hunting, making sausage and canning pickles with his friends. He also enjoyed cooking which included barbequing, making chicken noodle soup, and of course, his homemade meatloaf. He also loved attending sports events and watching Old Westerns. This loving husband, father, Popo and friend will truly be missed.
Anton is preceded in death by his father, Anton J. Dybala Sr., son-in-law, Richard Martinez, and his sister, Jeannette Newman.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Dorothy (Pilcik) Dybala; his mother, Evelyn Dybala; daughter, Jennifer Martinez; son, Stephen Dybala and his husband, Gabriel; siblings, David Dybala and his wife, Cathy and Shirley Gardner; grandchildren, Isaac Vasquez and his wife, Jocelyn and Christan Torres; great grandchildren, Zoie, Braxton, Bella and Marley Vasquez, Richard "Richie" Martinez, and Apollo Torres; brother-in-law, Danny Newman, special friend, JJ Talas; along with extended family and friends. Anton will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard, Texas. The funeral mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with entombment to follow in the Mausoleum of Holy Cross Cemetery in East Bernard.
Pallbearers will include Isaac Vasquez, Brian Dybala, Christian Torres, Travis Gardner, Michael Zurovec, Mattew Zurovec.
Honorary Pallbearers will include Jeff Dybala and JJ Talas.
